Pathology department is one of the vital core support units in the hospital that deals mainly with analysis of blood, urine, sputum, body fluids and body tissues. The main functions of the pathology is receiving samples to diagnose diseases so appropriate drug is administered and patients are properly managed. There different specialized units in the clinical laboratory such as Microbiology, biochemistry, serology, Malaria, haematology, blood transfusion services, histopathology and molecular unit that deals with various samples that send in from clinical wards, and health facilities in the province.
